THE PROCESS

STEP 1

CALL US

Call 0800 980 4909 or fill in the form below and one of our advisors will call you back to talk through your finances, including details of your unsecured debt and your income and expenditure to work out what you can realistically afford to repay each month. Please remember that you must be a Scottish resident to sign up to a Trust Deed.

STEP 2

AGREE A REPAYMENT

Based on the information you provide, we'll agree a repayment amount with you, together with an Insolvency Practitioner (also known as a Trustee). They will go through the whole process with you, answer any questions you may have and make sure you understand and approve with the Trust Deed proposal we have drawn up for you. Once you're happy we will send you the Trust Deed to sign, we will also arrange for a representative to witness your signature. Once this is done we will start contacting your creditors.

STEP 3

CREDITORS RECEIVE A COPY

Your creditors will receive a copy of the Trust Deed which will detail how much you are able to pay, including how assets will be dealt with and how much they can expect to receive towards the debt over the 4 year period. This gives your creditors the opportunity to object to the Trust Deed within the time allowed.

STEP 4

WE APPOINT A TRUSTEE

Throughout the duration of your Protected Trust Deed you will have an appointed Trustee who will oversee the arrangement. If your Trust Deed does not become protected, then the Trustee may advise an alternative solution based on your individual circumstances.

STEP 5

WE'LL KEEP IN TOUCH

We will keep in touch with you over the next 4 years to check everything is going well. Please make sure you keep us up to date if your financial circumstances change, especially if your repayments could be affected. If you are prevented by circumstances outside of your control from complying with your Trust Deed, we may be able to reach an acceptable agreement with your creditors.

Campbell Wallace Fraser specialise in Trust Deeds, a debt management solution only available to Scottish residents.
